SMC Sheetmetal uses proven and efficient laser cutting technology from Trumpf. SMC currently operates three flat bed laser cutting machines as well as four combination laser/punch machines. SMC has been using CNC laser cutting technology since 1999. Our Sydney plant, based in Castle Hill has the ability to laser cut complex shapes and profiles has significantly increased our clients ability to manufacture intricate components in both small batches and large runs. SMC uses both customer supplied electronic drawings and designs which have been developed by our customers in collaboration with our internal design team. Having the ability to develop 3D CAD Models allows our customers to be confident that what goes into the laser, comes out the other end and is in line with their expectations. Many of our clients are amazed at the speed, quality and accuracy we are able to achieve. All laser cutting profiles produced by SMC are appropriately packaged keeping in mind the end use of the products, so you can rest assured that your components are safe in our hands. SMC is capable of cutting many material grades such as Stainless Steel, Aluminium, Mild Steel and Coated Steels.

Punching

SMC Sheetmetal utilises the latest in punch technology from Trumpf and Amada. We currently operate four Trumpf combination laser punch machines, three of which have automatic sheet loading features as well as one high speed punch only Trumpf and two Amada turret punches. These state of the art machines are controlled by the latest in Computer Aided Design packages allowing SMC Sheetmetal to achieve the level of detail that you require. SMC Sheetmetal has a large range of standard punch tooling as well as many special tools. Special tools are also available upon request.
